Who We Are
Sembrando Esperanza is a coalition of nine neighborhood-based organizations from some of the most historic, resilient, polluted, and poorest areas in El Paso County. Our neighborhoods have carried the burden of racial discrimination since the City was founded. Grounded in people power, we organize campaigns that seek economic and environmental justice, increase civic engagement and voter turnout, and bridge the divide between the most impacted communities, elected officials and government staff, academia, and the media.

Organizing Based on Peer-to-Peer Relationships
Our members organize their peers, including their neighbors. We believe that people who live in neighborhoods facing injustice are best at organizing each other, identifying needs and solutions.
Our Mission
We organize because we face rising utility bills, pollution, displacement, and decisions made without our voices. We organize to protect our neighborhoods, defend our health, and build a just and livable future.
Our Methods
Our members participate in monthly trainings. We organize campaigns around specific issues and goals with strategic tactics, calls to action and deadlines. We are also working to increase civic engagement and voter turnout. We are nonpartisan and do not endorse candidates.
